A Fresh Interface Built for Speed and Precision

At Menu Board Manager, we never stop looking for ways to make digital signage management simpler, faster, and more powerful. On Wednesday, June 3 at 12:01 AM, we are rolling out a completely redesigned user interface that touches nearly every part of the platform. When you log in that morning, you will find a cleaner workspace, smarter editing tools, and a collection of features our customers have been requesting for months. Whether you manage a single location or hundreds of screens across a multi-unit operation, the new UI is designed to help you build and maintain stunning digital menu boards with less effort and more creative control.

Sections, Styling, and True Portrait Mode

The most significant addition in this release is the new Sections framework. You can now group menu items into distinct sections, each with its own independent styling for fonts, colors, spacing, and layout. A draggable Section Settings panel keeps every option at your fingertips without pulling you away from your workspace, and changes preview in real time so there is no more toggling back and forth to see results. When you want visual consistency, a single Apply to All Sections action updates every section at once. When you want a featured item or branded header to stand out, the new Lock Sections feature protects it from bulk operations and accidental edits.

Portrait displays also receive a major upgrade. The editor now renders natively at 1080×1920 instead of relying on CSS rotation workarounds. Drag-and-drop field placement, image uploads, and video handling all respect true portrait orientation, so what you see in the editor is exactly what your customers see on the screen. For operators running drive-thru digital menu boards or vertical lobby displays, this is a game-changer for design accuracy.

Smarter Pricing, Availability Controls, and POS Sync

Coming soon within this release cycle, Multiple Price Variants will let you display size or modifier options such as S / M / L or Single / Double directly on a single menu card. Each variant carries its own label, price, and POS ID, which means your boards stay synchronized with your point-of-sale system automatically. Operators already using our Toast POS integration or other supported POS platforms will benefit immediately from tighter data alignment and fewer manual updates.

We have also rethought how unavailable items are displayed. The improved N/A Field Controls give you granular options: mark only the price as unavailable while keeping the item name and description visible, apply a strikethrough to the price alone, or strike through the entire item name. This replaces the old all-or-nothing approach and lets your boards communicate availability clearly and professionally during peak service.

Quality-of-Life Improvements Across the Board

Beyond the headline features, this release includes a Universal Font Selector that gives you access to every available font without pre-loading, drag-to-reorder functionality for fields within a section, and cleaner user dropdown menus that display Company — First Last for easy scanning. A new Dark Mode setting lets you choose Light, Dark, or Follow Browser, and the preference saves to your account so it follows you across devices. Under the hood, dozens of stability fixes address issues like preview flickering, rename data loss, and search inconsistencies, making the day-to-day experience noticeably smoother.

See the New UI in Action

The updated Menu Board Manager interface launches June 3 for all active accounts. If you are not yet on the platform and want to see how these tools can streamline your digital signage operation, we would love to start the conversation. From single-location restaurants to enterprise rollouts, our team is ready to help you design, deploy, and manage digital menu boards that look exceptional and drive results.
