The MCP server for digital signage

Run your menu boards from Claude. Connect Menuboard Manager, then check your screens, update prices and publish menus by asking in plain language, typed or spoken.

“Raise the price of all burgers in Texas by $.50.”

Say it to Claude. It finds every burger at your Texas locations, shows you the price changes, and makes them when you say yes.

What is an MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way AI assistants connect to other apps. In Claude, you add Menuboard Manager as a connector. Once it’s connected, you can ask Claude to look things up or make changes in your digital signage, and Claude carries out the request.

We plan to make every Menuboard Manager function available through MCP, so anything you can do in Studio, you’ll be able to ask Claude to do. Menuboard Manager becomes a headless app: Claude is the screen you work in, and Menuboard Manager does the work behind it.

The MCP server will be part of the Business plan.

Ask in plain language. Claude does the clicking.

Type it or say it. Claude’s apps take voice input, so you can manage your menu boards hands-free. Lookups answer right away. Changes are shown to you first.

Look things up

Make changes, after you say yes

Avi will set up your account for you

Avi, our AI support assistant, will use the same MCP connection to work for you, not just answer questions. The first time you sign in, Avi will ask about your business: your locations, your screens and what you want them to show. Then Avi builds it.

Later, Avi will also design a menu or menu background from your description, add it to your presentation’s playlist and publish it to your screens.

What Avi builds on your first visit

You stay in control

Nothing changes without your yes

Before anything changes, Claude tells you exactly what it’s about to do and waits for you to say yes. Lookups don’t need a yes. Changes always do.

Your login, your limits

You sign in with your own Menuboard Manager login. Claude can see and do exactly what that login can, and nothing more. If you can’t publish or can’t see a location, neither can Claude.

Off by default

The MCP server comes with the Business plan, and it stays off until our team turns it on for each person on your account.

Disconnect any time

You can remove the Menuboard Manager connector from Claude whenever you like.

Menuboard Manager MCP server FAQ

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way AI assistants connect to other apps. Menuboard Manager’s MCP server lets you add your digital signage account to Claude as a connector, so you can look things up and make changes to your menu boards by asking in plain language.

Yes. Claude’s apps let you speak your request instead of typing it. Say “Raise the price of all burgers in Texas by $.50.” Claude finds every burger at your Texas locations, shows you the price changes, and makes them when you say yes.

The MCP server will be available to Menuboard Manager Business subscribers.

No. Before anything changes, Claude tells you exactly what it’s about to do and waits for you to say yes. Lookups don’t need a yes. Changes always do.

Exactly what your own login can, and nothing more. You sign in with your own Menuboard Manager login. If your login can’t publish, or can’t see a location, the assistant can’t either. You can disconnect at any time.

It will be off by default, and our team will turn it on for each person.

Not yet. The MCP server is coming soon. We’ll announce it in our release notes. If you’d like to be one of the first to use it, contact us or ask through the Support button in Studio.
